My favourite way to photograph any aircraft:
graciously climbing away from the airport...
...with HUGE banking angles!
You might refer to it as a way of poor man's
air-2-air photography, but there is simply no
subtitute for the topside view with two wingtips
clearly visible.
It shows most aircraft at their most photogenic side.
Of course any F-15 will outroll a commercial airliner
any time of day, but with careful planning, waiting
and some luck, you can find any old Airbus A340
doing pretty amazing banking angles.
